Two River Summer Theater Camp - July 2017

*NEW* This Year:
Spectrum Theater Classes for students with autism (ages 10-17)!

As every parent or guardian in our area knows, there are seemingly endless options for how and where your child can have a fun and fulfilling summer. All those choices can be overwhelming, so let us help your decision-making process go a little smoother: Why should you choose Two River Summer Theater Camp?

 We do something different.

We focus on developing the artist inside every child. By creating a supportive ensemble, we teach your child theater skills—and they will gain far more than just knowledge of the arts. They will have learned courage, kindness, confidence, how to take risks, and the ability to create something new out of nothing. We don’t produce a fully-staged production at the end of each week. Instead, we structure our camp around three words: SPARK, CREATE, SHARE.

SPARK is the inspiration – the theme, the jumping off point for what your child’s group will work on during the week. CREATE is where your child learns tangible skills – such as making set designs in Theater Arts and Design, or learning improvisation skills as they work together to devise a scene in Acting. SHARE is the invited class each Friday where we invite friends and loved ones into the theater so our young artists can share the fruits of their labors.

Whether your child is an aspiring actor, has enjoyed working behind-the-scenes on a school play, or simply loves theater, Two River Summer Theater Camp is the perfect way for them to enjoy a creative summer at one of New Jersey’s leading professional theaters. Designed to be fun, challenging, and inspire creativity and a sense of adventure, our theater camp is for young people ages 8-18. All of our programs are led by professional, experienced teaching artists.

A note about new and returning studentsActivities are structured both for young people who return to our theater camp year after year, and for those who are attending for the first time. While our mission is upheld from year to year, each summer’s teaching artists bring with them different experiences, ideas, and themes to share and teach.
