Two River’s Junior Staff is a highly competitive program that brings young professionals at the start of their careers to Red Bank, where they spend a season in residence at the theater. Two River has developed its Junior Staff program to be a springboard for career advancement. The program offers practical application in multiple career fields, including: scenic, lighting, artistic development and more. Junior Staff receive a stipend, housing, and are provided with mentors who help them learn and connect with leading industry professionals, allowing them to grow within their specific fields. The Junior Staff program is supported in part by all of our generous Annual Fund donors.

SOUND & LIGHTING ASSISTANT

Two River Theater, a mid-sized professional LORT theater, one hour from New York City, is seeking Sound Assistant applicants for our 2022/23 season.

The ideal candidate is positive, self-motivated, organized, collaborative and professional. You must have experience working with theatrical lighting and sound systems. Duties include working as a member of the lighting and sound crew on all aspects of load-in, hang, focus, tech notes, and strike. The lighting and sound assistant will also serve as board op, spotlight op, or other positions as needed for the run of our mainstage and black-box theatrical productions. Other duties include helping to maintain inventories, and assisting other departments as needed.

Compensation: Compensation includes weekly pay of $350 plus local fully furnished and all utilities paid shared housing which is valued at $230 per week, calculating to $580 per week in total taxable compensation, equal to $14.50 an hour for a 40-hour week. If housing is not required the position will be paid the weekly rate of $580.00, equal to $14.50 an hour for a 40-hour week. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours at a time and a half rate of $21.75. Medical, dental, vision & life insurance plans are available. This position accrues sick leave in accordance with the NJ State Earned Sick Leave law. Employee agrees to reimburse TRT for any damages to the accommodations.

Contract dates are early January 2023 through late June.
