Cordelia’s stuck. Cordelia needs to design a maid’s costume, but she can’t stop thinking about The Help and Maid in Manhattan and Gone with the Wind and As Good As It Gets and… and… and… How can she find a way to show these women for who they really are? Two River favorite Tony Meneses (The Hombres, Guadalupe in the Guest Room) returns with this world premiere comedy.

Citizen Barlow is looking for peace. To get it, he’ll knock at Aunt Ester’s door every day if that’s what it takes. Set in 1904, the opening installment in August Wilson’s The American Century Cycle includes the playwright’s most fantastical journey, where the secrets of the past point towards future liberation.

The work of a costume designer is central in A Thousand Maids, but what does that work entail in the off-stage world? Experienced costume professionals from Two River Theater's team will share the reality of the costume creation processand take attendees on a tour of Two River's costume shop and costume storage areas.

METRO MEET-UP
Our first ever Metro Meet-Up will be happening on Sunday, June 23 / 2024 in Studio A! Metro Scholars from the beginning to now gather to celebrate friends old and new and to welcome our 2024/25 Howard Aronson Metro Scholars.
Pro Series: Scene Study
Taught by Rakesh Palisetty, this session focuses on a disciplined approach to script analysis and its truthful application moment-to-moment. We will be working with scenes from either classics or contemporary realist plays. The students will learn to deepen their interpretation of the scene, improve their understanding of character action and dynamics, as well as develop a better sense for how to collaborate with their scene partner.
INSIDE TWO RIVER
Inside Two River is a series of arts and humanities events—specially curated for each of our productions. Multiple events take place each month and most are free.
