2022-2023 EMERGING PROFESSIONALS

JAYNE BERNARDI
JAYNE BERNARDI (she/her), Properties Assistant, joins us from the Keene State College class of 2022. Jayne has a BA in Theatre and Dance with a specialization in Design/Tech. As the Properties Assistant, she helps build and source props for the productions. During tech rehearsals and performances, she is backstage running props and on standby for any repairs needed. For Romeo and Juliet, Jayne had to dull down all the blades for the fight scenes, including the edges of the weathervane. Jayne helped pull, clean, or repair something on almost all of the many props in the show. Jayne has been enjoying her time in Red Bank. She loves walking downtown on the weekends while the lights are up and recently visited the beach for the first time. When not at the theater, she enjoys going for runs, playing the Sims, painting and listening to Taylor Swift!
Bailey Dumlao
BAILEY DUMLAO (he/they), Artistic Assistant, is a 2022 University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate with a BA in Theatre Performance and a minor in History. The Artistic Assistant aids the directors on all mainstage productions, in addition to helping the Artistic Director and the Artistic Department with producing duties. For Two Sisters and a Piano, Bailey has been the director’s right hand! He works on scenes, dramaturgy, and as an extra set of eyes in the rehearsal room. As a Filipino artist, Bailey was ecstatic to work with Two River’s first All-Asian company during Romeo and Juliet. Bailey loves how walkable Red Bank is and loves finding all the quirky mom-and-pop restaurants. With summer just around the corner, he is looking forward to the beach. When not at work, he likes to read (plays, of course), cook and lose every card game to the other Assistants. Bailey also directs and works as a freelance lighting designer in his spare time.
Terrell Jenkins
TERRELL JENKINS (he/they), Costume Shop/Wardrobe Assistant, is a recent Purchase College graduate. He holds a BFA in Theater Design/Technology with a concentration in Costume Design. During rehearsal periods, you can find TJ in the shop helping out where he can – taking notes for fitting, handling alterations, or pulling clothes for designers – whatever the shop may need! During tech and performances, you’ll find TJ in the wardrobe room helping with quick changes, styling hair and wigs, or just being around for the actors. TJ enjoys the walkability of Red Bank and hopes to explore more of the stores in the downtown area. When he’s not at Two River Theater, you can find him in Montclair, NJ designing costumes for Vanguard Theater Company or in NYC exploring the city.

For Two Sisters and Piano, Samuel worked with Kayl Williams, Lighting Assistant, to hang and circuited the lighting and sound equipment. Samuel is the primary audio engineer for the production. He enjoys exploring Red Bank and NYC when not working at the theater or working as a dog walker and a DoorDash Driver!

The Production Management Assistant is a jack-of-all-trades and helps out with a variety of tasks including being part of the rentals team, expense tracking and assisting with artist care. As the weather warms up, he loves going to Six Flags Great Adventure.

As Company Management Assistant, Raen takes care of the company for each production (both actors and TRT Staff) and makes sure that their experience here is a smooth, positive and easy one. About her work at the theater, Raen says “Most of my work is done on the backstage end, but as long as the actors are doing their jobs happily, then I’ve done my job right!” This is her second season at Two River but her first living in Red Bank which she enjoys because the food is amazing and the shops are so cute! When not at the theater, she likes to cook, journal and play video games.

ABBY STEIN (she/her), Production Assistant, is a 2022 graduate of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Theatre program. The Production Assistant is an extra set of hands during all parts of the production process, to ensure a smooth run. From the stage managers to the designers and actors, Abby works closely with everyone in all departments. If you see it on stage, Abby helped it get there in some way. Being from California, Abby has taken advantage of her East Coast time and has loved getting to take the train into New York and explore the city. When not at the theater, she enjoys game nights, watching and listening to musicals, and exploring the East Coast!

This is Kayl’s second season at Two River and he loves exploring the area on foot, including Red Bank’s great restaurants, bars and stores.
