Emerging Playwright Reading: Wife of a Salesman
By Eleanor Burgess
Directed by Margot Bordelon
Join us this Spring for four online staged readings of new works in progress by Two River’s Emerging Playwrights Group. This group has been together from the 2019/2020 season through this current season. Each writer will be sharing plays in development in these free readings on Zoom. Our first reading is Wife of a Salesman—a take on Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman—by Eleanor Burgess. Burgess is known for her play The Niceties, which had a multi-theatre rolling world premiere at the Huntington in Boston, the McCarter in Princeton, the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City, and the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. The reading will be directed by Margot Bordelon, who most recently directed Wives at Playwrights Horizons and Do You Feel Anger? at the Vineyard Theater.
