Join us for a pre-show workshop and discussion on initiating conversations about race using art as both starting point and common ground. This workshop is led by Lauren T. Rorie, an instructor of history at Monmouth University whose teaching examines the way Black artists addressed issues surrounding race, gender, sexuality, and class across the Black Atlantic in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries using visual art, literature, film, and music. Coffee, tea, water and cookies provided by No Limits Café will be offered during this workshop.

While educators can gain Professional Development credit for attending, this discussion is free and open to the public.
