New Jersey’s Two River Theater has a new managing director: Nora DeVeau-Rosen. Set to begin her work in the role next month, DeVeau-Rosen joins a leadership team alongside new Artistic DirectorJustin Waldman, who began his tenure in November.
DeVeau-Rosen comes to Two River after serving on the development team for Pasadena Playhouse, where securing the company’s largest-ever general operating gift was among her accomplishments. She has also worked with The Works Entertainment, East West Players, Clubbed Thumb, and more.
“It is a thrilling opportunity to partner with a tremendous leader like Nora,” says Waldman in a statement. “She has it all; acumen, smarts, and industry know-how. But what really sets her apart is her incredible heart. She leads with empathy, listening, and an ingrained desire to do right and bring us all together. Two River, and the Red Bank community, is fortunate to gain a fierce advocate for the collaborative, inclusive power of theatre.”
Waldman and DeVeau-Rosen will assume responsibility for Two River’s 2022-2023 season, planned by outgoing Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst. Mando Alvarado’s Living and Breathing will make its world premiere beginning January 28, followed by Romeo and Juliet April 8-30, and Nilo Cruz’s Two Sisters and a Piano June 3-25.
