Play Date for Oo-Bla-Dee

What is it?  Play Dates enable parents/guardians to attend a performance while their children ages 6–11 work and play with Two River Teaching Artists during the show.

When is it? Saturday, June 22 at 3:00 PM (during Oo-Bla-Dee). The Play Date will end when the show ends, approx. 5:30 PM. The end time will be confirmed closer to the date.

What will the children be doing? Children will experience a journey through jazz with acclaimed children’s author Carmen Rubin. They’ll travel with 9-year-old Ashti on a whimsical tale that’s rooted in jazz where the kids will have a scatting good time, exploring the sound of Be-Bop, and the magic that happens when they meet Birdman Al, who helps them keep the music alive!

This Play Dates Preview is FREE and open to the public.

Can I purchase a ticket to see Oo-Bla-Dee and leave my kids (ages 6–11) at the Play Date during this free preview? Absolutely! Parents/guardians are more than welcome to purchase an Oo-Bla-Dee ticket and make use of the program, or experience the program with their kids first, before committing for future Play Dates next season.
