Event Series FAQ

What Health & Safety protocols will be in place for Plaza Players?

The safety of our patrons, staff and artists is of the utmost importance to us. Two River Theater’s reopening safety plans have been created using CDC, state and local government mandated practices, in consultation with medical professionals through Keeping America Safe: Hackensack Meridian Health’s Assist Program and Intelligent Crowd Solutions. The following protocols will be in place for Plaza Players:

  • All surfaces will be sanitized before the arrival of any patrons
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the plaza
  • Tables will be limited to guests in your party only
  • Masks are required for all patrons when entering the theater to use the restroom. If the performance is moved indoors due to inclement weather, all patrons must wear a mask at all times when not eating and drinking, while seated at their designated tables.
  • By their presence all audience members agree that they are not sick and have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms or a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 10 days.

Are masks required?

Masks will not be required for patrons when they are outdoors on the Plaza. Masks are required for all patrons when entering the theater to use the restroom.

If the performance is moved indoors due to inclement weather, all patrons must wear a mask at all times when not eating and drinking, while seated at their designated table.

Please remember to bring a mask. If you forget your mask, one may be provided.

What if I am not feeling well?

By your presence at in-person performances and events, you agree that you are not sick and have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms or a confirmed case of COVID-19 during the 10 days prior to your performance. If anyone in your party tests positive for, or exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 at any time within 10 days of your performance, please contact the box office. You will have the option to exchange your ticket into another performance, have a credit placed on your Two River Theater account, donate the cost of your ticket back to the theater, or receive a refund. For the health of all patrons, artists, and staff of Two River Theater, we ask that you keep everyone’s health under consideration.

How will ticketing and seating work for Plaza Players?

Tables of 2 or 4 will be available for every performance. Tickets will be sold as general admission. Tables will be assigned by the box office closer to your performance date.

Only members of your party will be seated at your table. We will be unable to ‘pull up’ additional chairs. Tables cannot be split and resold.

Entrance to the Plaza begins at 6:30pm. You will check in at the box office table on the Plaza, where you will receive a wristband and table number. You will be responsible for wearing the wristband throughout your time at the event as proof of admittance.

Select performances may be moved indoors due to inclement weather. See “What Happens if it Rains?” for more details.

Are food and drink available for purchase?

We are happy to share we have launched a new partnership with Sickles Market for Plaza Players!

All food and drink items must be preordered and paid for at least 48 hours in advance of your performance via Two River Theater’s website and pre-show emails. There will be no walk-up concessions stand. All preordered concessions will be waiting for you at your table upon arrival. Drinks will be kept chilled in table side ice buckets. No outside food is allowed.

What happens if it rains?

For performances of Toybox Live with Rinde Eckert and Alea and Sinuhé: In the case of inclement weather, we will safely move the performance to our indoor lobby at a limited capacity. Indoors, all patrons must wear a mask at all times when not seated at their designated table. Patrons with tickets, that are not comfortable sitting indoors will have the option to exchange their tickets into another performance, have a credit placed on their account, donate the cost of their tickets back to Two River Theater or receive a refund.

For performances of Upstream by Chesney Snow and Faye Chiao: No performances will be moved inside. In the case of inclement weather, we will notify all patrons of show cancelations no later than 5pm on the day of the performance by email and phone. We have scheduled Sundays August 15 and 22 as rain dates, so if a show gets rained out, you will have the option to move into that Sunday rain date, have a credit placed on your account, donate the cost of your ticket back to Two River Theater or receive a refund.
