Have a SEAT (Student / Engagement / Access / Theater)

Have a SEAT is a grant-funded arts-in-education initiative designed to make theater accessible to all students. The program provides free tickets—and transportation when needed—to under-resourced schools attending student matinee performances. Participating schools also receive complimentary access to all pre-show workshops offered at Two River Theater. Eligible schools may receive 30 or 50 free tickets per production, depending on the performance venue. Additional tickets, if available, may be purchased for $15 each. Have a SEAT program requirements: (Your school must meet one or more to qualify) 1. School is designated as a Priority or Focus School by the NJ Department of Education. 2. NSLP Free and Reduced Lunch eligibility percentage of student population is higher than the NJ statewide average of 35.5%.

Need Have A SEAT Transportation Funding Assistance?

Have a SEAT program participants may also qualify for transportation funding assistance. Please email alisha@trtc.org with quote from your school's busing company. If selected, you will receive and official letter stating how much of your trip Two River Theater will cover, and instructions on how to obtain those funds. PLEASE NOTE: TRANSPORTATION FUNDING ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.

THE MONSTERS: A SIBLING LOVE STORY // For Grades: 9-12 // Approximate run time: 90 minutes

For a long time, LIL has been obsessed with fighting, and one fighter in particular: her older brother BIG, an aging but successful figure in the local Mixed Martial Arts circuit. But she’s been doing it all from afar… until one day when she decides to show up on his doorstep. Written and directed by Ngozi Anyanwu (Good Grief, The Homecoming Queen, The Last of the Love Letters) and co-produced by Two River Theater and Manhattan Theatre Club, The Monsters is a sibling love story about reunions, resentment, reconnection, and wrestling with demons. ***HAVE A SEAT SCHOOLS MAY REQUEST UP TO 30 TICKETS FOR THIS PERFORMANCE***

The Forest of Arden is full of possibilities! Banished by her uncle and disguised as a boy, Rosalind and her beloved cousin Celia journey into the woods and discover new friends, love letters, music, and ultimately, themselves. Director Noelle Marion (last season’s A Little Shakespeare: The Tempest) returns to helm this lively frolic through the forest.
