The only thing stronger than Prospero’s magical spells might be the power of love and forgiveness. Back for its 12th year, Two River’s most popular education program transports you to an enchanted island where anything is possible. A Little Shakespeare presents an abridged version of the Bard’s bewitching tale, directed and designed by theater professionals and performed and supported backstage by high school students.

THE CAST

Evalise Abreu

Evalise Abreu (Miranda) is honored to be making her debut with Two River Theater. Evalise is a senior in the Fine Performing Arts Program at Howell High School. Some of her recent theater and film credits include Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (Mrs. Bones) with Howell High School Drama Club, The Words That Go Unsaid (Molly Freudner) directed by EmmaLynne DeRoss, Everlong (Zoe) directed by Mariah Cirillo, Strawberry Fields (Sophia) directed by Kai Simon, Found Family (Charlie) directed by Kaiden Levy. She is thankful for her friends and family for all of their support. 

Caitlin Cardillo

Caitlin Cardillo (Ariel) is extremely excited to be making her debut with Two River Theater. Some of her past productions include: A Charlie Brown Christmas (Violet), Snow Angel (Crank), and Willy Wonka JR. (Mrs. Gloop). She is a Junior Acting Major at the Grunin Performing Arts Academy. She wishes luck to everyone in the cast and cannot wait to put on such a spectacular show with them. “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” – Marilyn Monroe.

Anthony Cea

Anthony Cea (Sebastian/Dancer) is ecstatic to be making his return to Two River. He is a current Sophmore in the Fine and Performing Arts program at Howell High School. Past credits include Papa Bear in Shrek The Musical Jr, Costard in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Oberon in A Midsummers Night Dream, Ensemble in Wizard of Oz. Anthony is grateful again for this opportunity and hopes you have a great time.

 

Katelen Estrada

Katelen Estrada (Trincula/Dancer) is delighted to make her Two River debut! She is a senior in the MCMS Theatre Conservatory and is the student representative for the EBMS Theatre Advisory Committee. She serves as a New Jersey State Thespian Officer and is the proud secretary of Thespian Troupe 8020. Alongside her teammates, she placed silver in the SkillsUSA Performing Arts division. She was previously a student in the 2023/24 Howard Aronson Metro Scholar program with Two River. Past credits include Iphigenia (Iphigenia); Carrie the Musical (Frieda); and Circle of Friends Educational Tour (Adult Swing). Aside from theater, Katelen is Co-President of her school’s Student Council, Editor Emeritus of STRIPES: Literary Magazine, and member of the National Technical Honors Society. She is honored to perform at Two River and would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for supporting her theater journey. @katelengestrada

Zelda Golland

Zelda Golland (Iris/Dancer) is super excited to perform in her second show at Two River Theater. She is currently a Junior Theater Major at Red Bank Regional High School, having recently performed in their fall play, Murder on the Orient Express (Monsieur Bouc). Some of Zelda’s favorite roles include Love Labour’s Lost (Moth), In Juliet’s Garden (Desdemona), Monstersongs (The Child) The Little Mermaid Jr. (Sebastian). She is also a part of Two River’s Howard Aronson Metro Scholar program. Aside from theater, Zelda enjoys creating films and music, as well as teaching little kids. She’d like to thank her family for their unwavering support, and hopes you love the show! 

Evelynn Knox

Evelynn Knox (Gonzala/Juno) is thrilled to make her Little Shakespeare debut! Some favorite credits include Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Cinderella) with Red Bank Theater for Young Audiences, Honk! (Ida) at Henry Hudson Regional, and Between the Lines (Ms. Winx) with the Count Basie Academy of the Arts. In the past, Evelynn has participated in the New Jersey Teen Arts program. She has also received vocal training with Celeste Simon. Outside of performing, Evelynn enjoys playing instruments, songwriting, drawing, and painting. Evelynn sends love and thanks to her family, friends, and everyone who made this wonderful show possible!

Layla Kuya

Layla Kuya (Antonia/Ceres) is thrilled to be performing in her third and last show at Two River Theater. She is a senior at MCMS Theatre Conservatory. Her credits include Mean Girls The Musical (Ensemble); Peter Pan (Liza/Starkey); Iphagenia (Soilder/Myrmidon); Romeo and Juliet (Mercutio); and Love’s Labour’s Lost (Anthony Dull).

Anthony Liamero

Anthony Liamero (Ferdinand) is a senior that attends East Brunswick Magnet School’s Theatre Conservatory. His past credits include: Achilles (Iphigenia), Tommy Ross (Carrie the Musical), Jimmy (10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse), Eshu (Perception Project), Wilmore/Monsieur Jourdain (Night of Restoration). He is also an International Honor Thespian in Troupe 8020 for the International Thespian Society. He would like to thank his Mom, Dad, siblings (Taylor, Ryley, Natalie, Melanie, Corinne, James, Isabella, Dominic), and his wonderful cast and crew for such an excellent experience!

 

Eli McDaniel

Eli McDaniel (Caliban/Boatswain/Dancer) is ecstatic to be a part of his first Two River production! Eli is a senior in the FPAC acting program at Howell High School and had the pleasure of being a Howard Aronson Metro Scholar at Two River Theater last year. His favorite past credits include: Mote (Midsummer Jersey), Diesel (West Side Story), and Sergei (Matilda). Eli cannot wait to work with the wonderful cast and crew, break legs everyone! 

Gianna Martinez

Gianna Martinez (Prospera) is excited to be making her debut with Two River Theater. Gianna is a senior at East Brunswick Magnet School studying in their Theatre Conservatory program. Her recent credits include Clytemnestra in Iphigenia, Kaylee in The Prom, and Veronica U/S in Heathers. Gianna would like to thank Two River Theater for this opportunity and her friends and family for their support. 

Bella Migueis

Bella Migueis (Stephana/Dancer) is happy to be making her Little Shakes debut! She is a senior in the MCMS Theatre Conservatory. Her favorite credits include 10 Ways To Survive a Zombie Apocalypse with MCMS (Zombie); Romeo and Juliet (Potpan/3rd Watchman); A Night Of Restoration (Sargent Kite/Polydore/Gerald); Iphigenia (Old Man). She would like to thank her parents for always supporting her in her journey in every way possible, as well as her friends for always being there for her.

Abraham Moratti

Abraham Moratti (Alonso) is excited to return to Two River Theater for his senior finale. This will mark his twelfth performance under East Brunswick Magnet School, where he serves as Treasurer of the Theater Conservatory. Active in the arts since age 12,  Abraham’s work spans acting, directing (Mason Gross, Rockstar Studios), musical artistry (AMARD&V program), and voiceover (LRWP). His credits include Little Shakes’ Romeo & Juliet (Peter/Gregory), 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse (Narrator #1), Iphigenia (Menelaos/Soldier #1), You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Ensemble), a screen adaptation of A Hatful of Rain (Johnny), and starring in an original production through The Perception Project (Farmer 1/dance ensemble). From timeless tragedies to contemporary comedies, Abraham is proud to showcase versatility in his work with commitment to each role. He would like to thank his parents and aunts for encouraging him throughout the years.

Noelle Marion (Adaptor / Director) is grateful to return to Two River Theater after having Associate Directed their Fall 2023 production of Hair.  Noelle is a director, performer, educator, and theatre-maker originally from Los Angeles, CA.  Favorite Directing credits include: Escape to Margaritaville (Moonlight), Cinderella (Moonlight), Spamalot (The Welk Resort), Nunsense (The Welk Resort), The Addams Family (The Welk Resort), Freaky Friday (SDMT), Beauty and the Beast (High Street Arts), and The Wizard of Oz (Moorpark PAC).  Associate Directing credits include: Hair (Two River Theater), The Merry Wives of Windsor (The Old Globe), Under a Baseball Sky (The Old Globe), Cabaret (Goodspeed Opera House), Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (The Old Globe), Hair (The Old Globe), Hurricane Diane (The Old Globe), and Tiny Beautiful Things (The Old Globe).  As an educator, Noelle is passionate about fostering individuality and imagination in young artists, and strives to encourage creatives of all ages to celebrate what makes them unique.  Proud member of SDC and AEA.

Bailey Dumlao

Bailey Dumlao (Associate Director) (he/they) is a proud Filipino-American director, cat person, and multi-hyphenate artist hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. They are ecstatic to return to Two River on their favorite Shakespeare work after collaborating as Artistic Assistant for the 22/23 and 23/24 seasons! Assistant Directing: Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Asolo Rep), world premieres of Tony Meneses’ A Thousand Maids, Hansol Jung’s Romeo and Juliet, Kate Hamill’s The Scarlet Letter, and Mando Alvarado’s Living & Breathing, as well as acclaimed productions of Two Sisters and a PianoHAIR, and August Wilson’s Gem of the Ocean (Two River Theater). Easy Jack Portman (Directing Assistant) is a senior Creative Writing Major at Red Bank Regional High School and is thrilled to be rounding off his high school experience with the Two River Theater. Previously, he worked on the A  Little Shakespeare productions, Much Ado About Nothing (Assistant Stage Manager and Lighting Assistant), Romeo and Juliet (ASM and Understudy), and Love’s Labour’s Lost (ASM and Understudy). At school, he served numerous roles in multitudinous shows including, Mamma Mia! (Crew), Shrek the Musical (Stage Manager), The Dark Octet (Stage Manager), The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Co-Writer and Stage Manager), and Murder on the Orient Express (Student Director). Maya Emara (Sound Assistant) is a freshman at Marlboro High School with a love for drawing, animation, creative writing, and theater. She spends a lot of her free time developing her art, with dreams of becoming a future animator. Inspired by her appreciation for all forms of art, Maya discovered a deep love for theater and working backstage. As the Sound Assistant, she is thrilled to help bring The Tempest to life, knowing how sound enhances the beauty of a play’s visuals. She has a strong respect for the theater community and is excited to contribute behind the scenes.
