For the first time, actor and writer Martin Moran will pair his Obie-winning performance The Tricky Part with his new show, All the Rage, winner of the 2013 Lucille Lortel Award. The two plays are being performed at Two River Theater under the umbrella title “A Map of the Soul.

THE CAST

Martin Moran

Martin Moran was awarded a 2013 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Solo Show for his play All the Rage and a 2004 Obie Award and two Drama Desk nominations for his play The Tricky Part, based upon his memoir of the same title. His writing has appeared in Ploughshares, the Pushcart Prize anthology and The New York Times. As an actor, his Broadway credits include Spamalot, Cabaret, Titanic, Wicked, Bells Are Ringing, How to Succeed in Business…, and Big River. His Off-Broadway credits include O, Earth (The Foundry Theatre), Floyd Collins (Playwrights Horizons), A Man of No Importance (Lincoln Center Theater), Cider House Rules and 3 Kinds of Exile (Atlantic Theater), The Cradle Will Rock (City Center Encores!) and Brecht’s A Man’s a Man (Classic Stage Company). He has worked regionally at Long Wharf Theatre, The Old Globe, Two River Theater, La Jolla Playhouse, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Trinity Repertory Company, and the Intiman. Film/TV credits include: The Newsroom, The Big C, Z-Nation, Possible Side Affects, Private Parts, Law &Order; Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Dellaventura, Mary and Rhoda. He was a fellow at The MacDowell Colony and he wrote the Book and Lyrics for the 2012 solo musical, Borrowed Dust, with composer Joseph Thalken. His memoir, All the Rage, A Quest was released in 2016 by Beacon Press. He lives in New York City with his husband, Henry Stram. Visit: Alltherageplay.com

Seth Barrish directed the award-winning shows My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend (Lucille Lortel Award for Best Solo Show, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Solo Show), Sleepwalk With Me (Nightlife Award for Outstanding Comedian in a Major Performance), The Tricky Part (OBIE Award, Drama Desk nominations for Best Play and Best Solo Show), Pentecost (Drama Desk nomination for Best Play), Old Wicked Songs (Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and Garland Award for Best Direction), and Good (Straw Hat Award for Best Direction), among dozens of productions spanning a 35-year career. Seth co-directed Mike Birbiglia’s feature film Sleepwalk With Me. He directed Waiting for Godot at Two River Theater. Other theaters he has worked with include the Intiman, New York Theatre Workshop, Long Wharf, McCarter, Geffen Playhouse, Sundance Theatre Lab, Promenade, Signature, Asolo Center for the Performing Arts, San Jose Rep, La Jolla Playhouse, Playhouse 91, La MaMa E.T.C., the Perry Street Theatre, Provincetown Rep, and The Barrow Group—a New York City theatre company where he is Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director. A professional acting and directing teacher, Seth recently served as a Master Teacher at the International Symposium for Directors in Spoleto, Italy. He is the author of the book An Actor’s Companion—99 Bits of Craft.  Seth was a producer on Mike Birbiglia’s most recent CD Sleepwalk With Me Live. As an actor, Seth appears regularly in film and on television.
