We are proud to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the World Premiere of Be More Chill, the hit Broadway musical, with two nights of reunion concerts. With OG performances from Joe Iconis and plenty of very chill special guests, this is your chance to experience the Broadway musical like never before!
This performance contains adult themes.
Music & Lyrics by Joe Iconis, Book by Joe Tracz; Based on the Novel by Ned Vizzini
“Be More Chill is a show that changed my life in countless ways. I don’t know where I’d be had Two River not taken a chance on me many years ago and I am so thrilled to celebrate ten years of this misfit musical on the stage where it was first performed.” -Writer, Joe Iconis
Following the performance on Thursday, Jul 24, there will be a private Meet and Greet with Joe Iconis & members of the company in our Library for a very limited number of patrons.
Be More Chill is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.

JASON SWEETTOOTH WILLIAMS – cannot believe it’s been 10 years since Be More Chill opened at Two River Theater. He remembers sitting in the audience on opening night 10 years ago, in awe of what was happening up on that stage, dreaming of one day being a part of it. As fate would have it, he joined the cast for its subsequent Off Broadway run and then made his Broadway debut as Mr Heere. It was a lifelong dream come true. Jason has spent his entire professional career working with Joe Iconis and thanks his lucky stars for that every day. He is also so grateful for the amazing Be More Chill fans whose love for the show and its message helped propel it all the way to Broadway! When you love somebody, you put your pants on for them! Ten Hut!
THE BAND
Trumpet / Theremin
Danny Jonokuchi
Danny Jonokuchi
DANNY JONOKUCHI is thrilled (and slightly confused) to be reprising his groundbreaking, career-defining role as “Theremin Guy” in this production. A multi-hyphenate jazz artist, Danny hasn’t touched a theremin in years and honestly had to Google how it works before rehearsal. His groundbreaking technique of “playing theremin with the trumpet” continues to mystify musicians, Aubrey Plaza, and house pets alike. When not conjuring otherworldly tones from antennas, Danny enjoys a refined diet of whiskey and Pop-Tarts, ideally consumed while arranging music for large ensembles who almost play it correctly. He is a proud member of the BMC family, who, for reasons unknown, have invited him to perform for the Two River, Off-Broadway, and Broadway productions of Be More Chill. Danny would like to thank Robert Moog, his chiropractor, and the ghost of Leon Theremin for guiding his electromagnetic journey. He will be available for theremin signings at the stage door following this performance — limit one frequency per fan. Despite his historic debut as the first thereminist on Broadway, he is not (yet) endorsed by Moog synthesizers, but if you know anyone that works there, please forward their LinkedIn info to his manager. Follow his further questionable life choices at @dannyjonokuchi.

He has appeared on over 20 commercial recordings for artists including Megan Hilty, Matt Cusson, Joe Iconis, Rob Rokicki and Lauren Marcus, and on original cast albums including Be More Chill, The Lightning Thief, and Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge.
