Nicholas Rodriguez is perhaps best known for the role of Nick Chavez on ABC’s One Life to Live, for which he received the GLAAD Media Award, the 2009 Visibility Award. Nicholas made his Broadway debut in Disney’s production of Tarzan. He is also a frequent performer with the Garden State Philharmonic, Westfield Symphony (NJ Festival Orchestra), and the NE PA Symphony Orchestra; recently played with the Verismo Opera Company (La Boheme); and has played on many shows at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn. Simon Hutchings Originally from London, UK, Simon Hutchings now resides in New York City. Before his recent relocation to The Big Apple, he spent several years as one of the most in-demand woodwind performers in Florida, where he regularly performed with visiting entertainers and touring Broadway musicals including Marie Osmond, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, Chicago, Wicked, and Spamalot. Simon has enjoyed a diverse career to date, having performed with groups such as the Phoenix Symphony, USAF Falconaires, and Naples Philharmonic. He is also an accomplished chamber musician, having performed for six years with the Joseph Wytko Saxophone Quartet, and being a founding member of both the Areté Woodwind Doubling Quartet and the Helios Saxophone Quartet. He currently subs on the Broadway shows The Book of Mormon and The Lion King, and recently completed a run of the new Disney show Freaky Friday at Cleveland Play House. Simon has held positions on the adjunct faculty at Bethune-Cookman University, where he taught saxophone and chamber music, and Daytona State College, where he taught saxophone, clarinet, and chamber music. He is featured in Alfred Music Publishing’s new Sound Innovations band method series, where he presents a DVD masterclass to accompany both the clarinet and alto saxophone books.
Vivian Israel grew up in Manhattan and at age 21 became principal cellist and Musical Advisor with the Haifa Symphony in Israel, where she remained for six years. Since 1983 she has been a member of the Long Island Philharmonic, where she shares the principal cello seat and is a leader of the children’s educational outreach program. She has also been an active member of the Broadway musical scene with such greats as Les Miserables, Carousel, Ragtime, The Boy from Oz with Hugh Jackman, La Cage aux Folles, Gypsy, and West Side Story. She performs regularly with varied chamber groups in New York and has appeared with such great musical stars as Luther Vandross on a six-week tour of the United States, Ray Charles at Carnegie Hall, Diana Ross in Concert, Stevie Nicks at the Meadowlands in New Jersey, and Art Garfunkel in his Animals’ Christmas Special composition. She recorded a nine-track CD with her ethnic folk jazz band, Skylight.

Broadway: West Side Story (2009 revival), A Chorus Line (2006 revival), The Boy from Oz with Hugh Jackman. He was Associate Producer and drummer for Silence! The Musical. On screen: Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Recordings include the Grammy-winning West Side Story revival cast, Stephen Schwartz’s Children of Eden, and Douglas J. Marshall Sealy has performed extensively in a broad range of genres, styles and venues, including classical, Broadway and pit orchestras. He has worked with Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis, Jr., Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Opera Company of Boston, Les Miserables Brass Band, Aardvark Jazz Orchestra, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and Evita (national tour). He has been a soloist with the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, Plovdiv Symphony (Bulgaria) and United States Air Force Band, and has performed with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, Philadelphia Orchestra and Orchestra Filarmonica de Jalisco (Mexico), and with Lester Bowie, Ray Charles, and Paquito D’Rivera. He has appeared with the live television orchestras of the Essence Awards, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, and Whitney Houston HBO Special. He has recorded with Les Miserables Brass Band, Anthony Braxton, J.J. Johnson, Max Roach, Taj Mahal, Michael Jackson, Jay-Z and Isaac Hayes (1999 film Shaft). Marshall has recently completed his new solo horn album, “Horn Song.”

Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe
Alan Jay Lerner (1918-1986) and Frederick Loewe (1901-1988) wrote some of the most enduring classics of the American musical theater. Born in New York City, Alan Jay Lerner was a Harvard-educated writer who had collaborated with writers such as Leonard Bernstein while in college. Unable to serve in World War II due to a boxing injury that blinded him in one eye, he instead wrote scripts for radio plays. In 1942, he was introduced to an Austrian composer named Frederick Loewe while at the Lamb’s Club, a theatrical hangout in New York City. Loewe, a former piano prodigy in his native Berlin, was looking for a writing partner with whom he could achieve his dream of writing Broadway shows. Lerner and Loewe teamed up, and together they wrote many musicals including Brigadoon (1947), Paint Your Wagon (1951), My Fair Lady (1956), Gigi (1958), and Camelot (1960), Lerner writing the books and lyrics, Loewe the music. After Camelot Loewe retired and Lerner went on to collaborate with a series of different composers including Burton Lane, with whom he wrote On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (1965). With this exception, none of Lerner’s later collaborations were as successful as the musicals he wrote with Frederick Loewe. In 1973, Lerner coaxed Loewe out of retirement to write a musical film adaptation of the Antoine de Saint-Exupory novel The Little Prince.
David Lee most recently directed Can-Can at Paper Mill Playhouse and Noel Coward’s Present Laughter at Two River Theater. He has directed productions of Light Up the Sky, Do I Hear a Waltz?, 110 in the Shade, Diva, Can-Can (Ovation Award—Best Director), Camelot, and Art (Pasadena Playhouse); the world premiere of How I Fell in Love (Williamstown Theatre Festival); On the 20th Century, Assassins, Company, A New Brain, Applause, Working, Forum, Zorba (Ovation nominee—Best Director), Elegies, Two By Two, and Gigi (Reprise). In 2007 he directed the acclaimed production of South Pacific at the Hollywood Bowl with Reba McEntire and Brian Stokes Mitchell. He is currently writing a musical based on the life of the silent-movie star William Haines called Wisecracker. David is also a nine-time Emmy Award-winning director, writer, and producer for television. He is the co-creator of Wings and Frasier, for which he also wrote, produced, and directed; he served as writer/producer for Cheers and directed multiple episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond. In addition to 19 Emmy nominations, he is the recipient of the Directors Guild Award, Golden Globe, Producers Guild Award, GLAAD Media Award, British Comedy Award, Television Critics Association Award (three times), the Humanitas Prize (twice), and the Peabody Award.
Mark Esposito has choreographed for theater, television, commercials, and videos. His work has been seen at Pasadena Playhouse (Camelot), the Hollywood Bowl (South Pacific with Reba McEntire), the Reprise Series in Los Angeles (Applause), La Mirada Theatre, Musical Theatre West, Sacramento Music Circus, Universal Studios, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Pittsburgh Playhouse, Music Theatre of Wichita, North Shore Music Theatre (Massachusetts), Bass Hall and Casa Manana (Texas), Blowing Rock Stage Company (North Carolina), Ogunquit Playhouse (Maine), Globus Theatre Company in Russia and the York Theatre Company and Signature Theatre in New York. Mark has served as Associate director and choreographer for The Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show and as chorographer for Yuletide Celebration starring Sandi Patti with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Mark has performed in over 16 Broadway and National Tours including The Music Man; West Side Story; Brigadoon; Pippin; A Chorus Line; Jerome Robbins’ Broadway; Cats; Guys and Dolls; Damn Yankees; Marilyn, An American Fable; and The American Dance Machine among others. Steven White is pleased to return to Two River (where he previously fight directed Lives of Reason, Guadalupe in the Guest Room, Camelot, As You Like It, and On Borrowed Time) and to be working again with his former colleagues from productions at The Public Theater, where his fight work has been seen in 22 shows including Julius Caesar, The Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth, King Lear, A Language of Their Own, and Cymbeline with Liev Schreiber and Michael C. Hall, whom Mr. White trained at NYU Graduate Acting. Broadway includes The Pillowman, Bombay Dreams, Uncle Vanya, A View from the Bridge, Golden Child, The Lion in Winter with Laurence Fishburne, All My Sons, as well as Shogun: The Musical (Assistant Director). His fights have been seen on the stages of every major New York theater including MTC, CSC, Playwrights Horizons, Roundabout, and the Irish Repertory Theatre. He has worked at McCarter on six productions including The Convert. He is the fencing master for the Tulsa Ballet where he staged the fencing sequences in Edwaard Liang’s production of Romeo and Juliet. Mr. White spent 11 seasons at American Conservatory Theater, where he began his teaching career 44 years ago. He is on the faculties of the Stella Adler Studio and the Graduate Acting Program at NYU-Tisch. He wants to go on record that he is in love with Red Bank and the Jersey Shore.
