Emerging Playwright Reading: THE DYING TOWN

Join us this spring for four online staged readings of new works in progress by Two River’s Emerging Playwrights Group. This group has been together from the 2019/2020 season through this current season. Each writer will be sharing plays in development in these free readings on Zoom. Our second reading is The Dying Town by Emily Zemba, directed by Meredith McDonough (TRT’s Cyrano).

In the face of unemployment and general uncertainty, Audrey and Sam return to Sam’s small hometown for just a few weeks…or several months…or maybe forever. Populated with many zany, irritating, and familiar characters, The Dying Town is at once a satirical send-up of provincial politics and a love story about the sweet resilience of small-town America.
