Join us for a nationwide watch of John Lewis: Good Trouble, uniting audiences from more than 50 nonprofit arts organizations around the country, to reflect on the life and work of Congressman John Lewis. After renting the film, tune into a live virtual panel on Monday, September 21, @7PM featuring Dawn Porter, the film’s director, Ras Baraka, Mayor of Newark, NJ, Khalil Gibran Muhammad, Professor of Professor of History, Race and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School and Director of the Institutional Antiracism and Accountability Project, and Lonnie Bunch, Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, as well as other national leaders in politics and civil rights, to talk about Representative Lewis’s legacy of fearless protest and how we can keep his campaign for justice alive.
