Salome

By Oscar Wilde

Directed by Jonathan Fox

This event has passed

This rarely-performed masterpiece of desire and revenge shocked audiences when it first appeared, and still enthralls with its combination of the fantastic and the symbolic, of highly charged eroticism and lyrical poetry. The bewitching Salome is the object of every man’s desire, yet is spurned by the only man she wants. Presented in conjunction with two of Wilde’s short tragicomedies: A Florentine Tragedy and La Sainte Courtesane.
