Playwright, activist, and performance artist (formerly Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologues, The Apology) turns her unique vision to the nurses on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on frank, impassioned interviews with these “radical angels of the heart,” That Kindness: Nurses in Their Own Wordsis a soul-stirring portrait of kindness and activism amid crisis. In this most critical of election years, lifts up the voices of intrepid nurses caring for patients without personal protective equipment—and calls on Americans to raise their own voices by getting out the vote.
