Miriam A. Hyman

Miriam A. Hyman is a Philadelphia native and 2012 graduate of Yale School of Drama where she earned her MFA in acting. She was named the 2011 Princess Grace recipient of the George C. Wolfe Award in Theater. Credits include Off Broadway: The Commons of Pensacola (Manhattan Theatre Club), Richard III (Public Theater). Regional: A Raisin in the Sun (PlayMakers Rep); Going Live (Guthrie); The Dreamer Examines His Pillow (Shakespeare & Company); The Persians, Young Lady From Rwanda, Twelfth Night, and Man From Nebraska (People’s Light & Theater); The Big Friendly Giant (Arden); The Story (Philadelphia Theater Co.); Resurrection Blues (The Wilma); Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire, Funnyhouse of a Negro, Antony & Cleopatra, Cymbeline, Tall Girls, Henry VI (Yale School of Drama). She earned a 2013 Best Supporting Performance nod by INDY Week for her performance as Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun; 2009 and 2007 nominations for the F. Otto Haas Award (Emerging Artist); and a 2006 Barrymore Best Supporting Actress nomination for Man from Nebraska.
