Free childcare for ticket holders during select performances. A collaboration with Monmouth Day Care Center.

What are Play Dates?

While parents and guardians attend a performance, their children have creative fun engaging with childcare professionals in a safe environment onsite at Two River Theater! Play Dates will be offered for free during one Saturday matinee of every show in our season, and parents can see the show for just $25 with the discount code ACCESS. For children aged 2 months and up.

Audio Described

Audio Description is available for patrons with vision loss. Using a lightweight headset, with no wires or cables, that operates with a FM system, patrons can hear a live, objective and concise description of the action on stage.

Open Captioned

Open Captioning is available for patrons with hearing loss. This service is useful to those who may not fully benefit from the FM amplification system, or who need help catching particular words. A screen, which projects dialogue as the action occurs live on stage, is placed to the side of the stage.

2. Use the code ACCESS at checkout for $25 performance tickets!

You’ll get an email within an hour of booking with your final steps to complete registration.

Play Dates are staffed by accredited caregivers from Monmouth Day Care Center. Booking early helps us to fully staff this event with enough caregivers to accommodate different ages of children.

At Monmouth Day Care Center we are dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating environment for families seeking quality child care without regard to race, religion or economic status.   Monmouth Day Care Center’s educational philosophy and curricula are derived from developmentally appropriate practice and the whole child philosophy. In 1987 Monmouth Day Care Center became the first child care center in Monmouth County and the eighth in New Jersey to receive accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  The Center continues to maintain this accreditation. In 2009 Monmouth Day Care Center entered into a partnership with the Red Bank Board of Education. In 2018 the Center received a star rating from the GROW NJ Kids Program, the 4th center in Monmouth County to receive this distinction.
