Bill Irwin On Beckett

Bill Irwin can’t escape Samuel Beckett. He has spent a lifetime captivated by the Irish writer’s language. In this intimate 90-minute evening, Irwin will explore a performer’s relationship to Beckett, mining the physical and verbal skills acquired in his years as a master clown and Tony Award-winning actor.

American Sign Language Interpreted Performances for patrons with hearing loss, and fluency in ASL. Theatrical interpreters stand near the stage translating the dialogue into ASL.

Audio Description is available for patrons with vision loss. Using a lightweight headset, with no wires or cables, that operates with a FM system, patrons can hear a live, objective and concise description of the action on stage.

Open Captioned

Open Captioning is available for patrons with hearing loss. This service is useful to those who may not fully benefit from the FM amplification system, or who need help catching particular words. A screen, which projects dialogue as the action occurs live on stage, is placed to the side of the stage.

Hester Prynne dares to strive for a better life for herself and her daughter. Kate Hamill, one of American theater’s most celebrated contemporary playwrights, reimagines Nathaniel Hawthorne’s classic tale of courage. This world premiere, directed by Shelley Butler, showcases the strength of a woman who will not let the rules of an unjust society define her.

Back for the 11th year as Two River’s most popular education program, A Little Shakespeare presents an abridged version of Shakespeare’s comedy.

Cordelia’s stuck. Cordelia needs to design a maid’s costume, but she can’t stop thinking about The Help and Maid in Manhattan and Gone with the Wind and As Good As It Gets and… and… and… How can she find a way to show these women for who they really are?
