Jenn Thompson

Jenn Thompson (Director) is a NYC-based, Drama Desk-nominated director whose work has been seen in NYC and at theaters across the country including Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Denver Center, Hartford Stage, Goodspeed Musicals, St. Louis Rep, Arizona Theatre Company, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, CTC, City Theatre, Portland Stage Company, Pioneer Theatre Company, Barrington Stage, Hartford TheatreWorks, Theatre Aspen, and Dorset Theatre Festival, among others. Recent productions include the current National Tour of Annie as well as the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway productions of Chains, Conflict, and Women Without Men (The Mint Theatre Company), which garnered Lortel and Off-Broadway Alliance Award nominations for Outstanding Revival as well as five Drama Desk Award nominations including Outstanding Director and Revival. NYC credits include work at Rattlestick, Barrow Group, The York Theatre Company, Abingdon, MCC, NAMT, NYMF, Primary Stages, and FringeNYC, as well as serving as Co-Artistic Director of Off-Broadway’s TACT/The Actors Company Theatre, where her directing credits for the company earned a Drama Desk nomination for her revised revival of Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers as well as an Off-Broadway Alliance Award for her production of Beth Henley’s play Abundance. American Sign Language Interpreted Performances for patrons with hearing loss, and fluency in ASL. Theatrical interpreters stand near the stage translating the dialogue into ASL.

Audio Description is available for patrons with vision loss. Using a lightweight headset, with no wires or cables, that operates with a FM system, patrons can hear a live, objective and concise description of the action on stage.

Open Captioned

Open Captioning is available for patrons with hearing loss. This service is useful to those who may not fully benefit from the FM amplification system, or who need help catching particular words. A screen, which projects dialogue as the action occurs live on stage, is placed to the side of the stage.
