Join us this summer for a series of outdoor performances on our newly renovated outdoor Plaza. Each evening will run about 75 minutes and feature performances by Two River Theater artists.
Two River opens its Plaza Players Series with Tony-Nominated writer and composer Joe Iconis (Be More Chill, Love in Hate Nation). Featuring Lauren Marcus and other special guests, Iconis will rock Red Bank into Summer.

Seth Eliser
Seth Eliser (he/him/his) is incredibly excited to be back alongside Joe, Lauren, Eric, Nygel, and all our wonderful special guests down here at Two River Theater! Before this crushing year, Seth was seen in regional/touring productions of: ONCE, The Lightning Thief, Hairspray, Pump Boys and Dinettes, etc. In the pandemic Seth and his partner Allie formed a band and played music all throughout VT. Check out their single: “Where Your Mind Goes” anywhere you stream music! Theatre is back!
Amina Faye
Amina Faye is excited to be back in Red Bank! Amina was last seen in Love In Hate Nation as Susannah Son at Two River Theater. Many thanks to Joe Iconis and Two River for giving us a reason to sing again!

Joe Iconis
Joe Iconis is a musical theater writer, composer and lyricist. He has been nominated for a Tony Award, four Drama Desk Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards, two Outer Critics’ Circle Awards, and is the recipient of an Ed Kleban Award, a Jonathan Larson Award, a Richard Rodgers Award, and is a former Ars Nova artist-in-residence. Joe’s musical Be More Chill (with Joe Tracz) debuted in March 2019 at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre, following a sold-out Off-Broadway run at The Pershing Square Signature Center and a world premiere at Two River Theater. He is the author of Broadway Bounty Hunter (with Lance Rubin and Jason SweetTooth Williams; Barrington Stage Company and Greenwich House Theater Off-Broadway), Bloodsong of Love (Ars Nova, NAMT), The Black Suits (with Robert Maddock; Center Theater Group, Barrington Stage Company), ReWrite (Urban Stages, Goodspeed Opera House), and Theaterworks USA’s The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks and We the People. Musicals currently in development include The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson for La Jolla Playhouse (with Gregory S. Moss; directed by Christopher Ashley), Punk Rock Girl. Commissions: Two River Theater (with Joe Tracz). His music appeared on season two of NBC’s Smash, with his song “Broadway, Here I Come!” hailed by the New York Times as a new entry in The Great American Songbook. Lauren Marcus
Lauren Marcus After originating the role of Brooke Lohst in Be More Chillat Two River Theater in 2015, Lauren made her Broadway debut with the show at the Lyceum Theatre in 2019! Other select regional and New York credits include: Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors(Pittsburgh Public Theater), Brigid in The Humans(St. Louis Rep), Amy in Company (Barrington Stage), Beatsville (AsoloRep), The Jonathan Larson Project(Feinstein’s/54 Below), Mary Flynn in Merrily We Roll Along(Sharon Playhouse), Pregnancy Pact(Weston Playhouse), and Miss Asp in Love in Hate Nation(Two River Theater). Lauren is also a singer/songwriter and her debut EP, Never Really Done With You, can be found on Spotify and iTunes. Kelly McIntyre
Kelly McIntyre (she/her/hers) is so stoked to be back at Two River! Pre-Pandemic, Kelly was most recently seen performing here at TRTC as Sheila Nail in Joe Iconis’ Love In Hate Nation! Previous to that she was touring the US and Canada as Janis Joplin in A Night With Janis Joplin, Lead Vocalist in the Beatles Symphonic Experience Revolution, and in between touring those shows, performing with her original rock band She’s Everist. Eric William Morris
Eric William Morris (he/him/his) has been working as an actor for almost two decades in NYC and LA, splitting his time equally between the stage and screen. His most recent on-camera credits include FLEISHMAN IS IN TROUBLE, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, THE MARVELOUS MRS MAISEL, MINDHUNTER, and the upcoming feature PINBALL. On stage, he’s starred on Broadway in KING KONG, CORAM BOY, MAMMA MIA!, and most recently in Pulitzer Prize/Tony Winner Michael R. Jackson’s WHITE GIRL IN DANGER (2nd Stage/Vineyard) and Tony Winner Richard Greenberg’s THE PERPLEXED (MTC). He frequently collaborates with writer Joe Iconis, starting in BE MORE CHILL (Two River, OCR), BLOODSONG OF LOVE (Ars Nova) and THINGS 2 RUIN (OCR). Education: Eric holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Loyola University Maryland, is a graduate of Circle in The Square Theatre School’s Professional Workshop, and has worked for over a decade with the legendary on-camera acting teacher Bob Krakower and the BK Gang.
Nygel D. Robinson
NYGEL D. ROBINSON (MUSIC DIRECTOR/COMPOSER ASSISTANT) is an Artist based in Chicago, IL. Select music directing credits include: ‘Lady Day (Mercury Theatre), ‘The Amen Corner’ (Shakespeare Theatre Company), ‘Rose’s War’ (The Rave Theatre Festival). Nygel is also the co creator of the new live looped musical ‘Mexodus’ which started being developed through New York Stage and Film in early 2020. Nygel’s very excited to be working with this incredible team!
George Salazar
George Salazar is best known for originating the role of “Michael Mell” in Two River’s very own Be More Chill (garnering a Lucille Lortel Award, two Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards, and Drama Desk & Outer Critics Circle Award nominations). He was last seen onstage opposite Mj Rodriguez as “Seymour” in the critically-acclaimed Pasadena Playhouse production of Little Shop of Horrors. Other NY theater credits include Godspell (2011 Bway revival), The Lightning Thief (Drama Desk nom.); tick, tick…BOOM!; Here Lies Love. TV: Superstore; Nancy Drew; Bull; Divorce. Albums: Two-Player Game, Be More Chill, The Lightning Thief, The Jonathan Larson Project, Godspell.
Jason Tam
Jason Tam (he/him/his) was last seen on TV in the hit NBC Live Jesus Christ Superstar as Peter. Most recently on Broadway he was in the cult hit Be More Chill, and Off-Broadway in the immersive show KPOP for which he won the Lortel Award, and Keen Company’s Marry Me A Little. Jason’s Broadway credits include If/Then, Lysistrata Jones, and the original Paul in the revival of A Chorus Line. He has also been part of numerous Off-Broadway and regional theatre productions. Jason has been a regular on One Life to Live and Beyond the Break and can be seen in the documentary Every Little Step.
David Alan Thornton
David Alan Thornton (he/him/his) is thrilled to join Joe Iconis and Lauren Marcus at Two River Theater! When not appearing here in the Plaza, David performs as NOTNORTH, an art/glam rock project from New York City. Jason SweetTooth Williams
Jason SweetTooth Williams (he/him/his) is beside himself that he is once again performing for a live audience and could not be more excited to be joining Joe Iconis at Two River Theater! In the Before Times, Jason was last seen on Broadway in Be More Chill. He has also appeared in many other Joe Iconis-penned musicals including The Black Suits (SPF-The Public Theater), The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks (theatreworksUSA), ReWrite (Urban Stages), Things to Ruin (le Poisson Rouge) and others. Jason recently created roles in the World Premieres of Disney’s Freaky Friday (La Jolla Playhouse, Alley Theater), and Benny and Joon (Old Globe). He was also seen opposite Jackie Hoffman as Prince Dauntless in Transport Group’s revival of Once Upon a Mattress. Jason is a co-writer (along with Joe Iconis and Lance Rubin) of Broadway Bounty Hunter which had its NY Premiere Off-Broadway at Greenwich House Theater and starred the legendary Annie Golden.
